Spindle classification
The field of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) has entered a new era thanks to electric spindle technology integration, direct motor technology, high-speed tool technology, and high-speed processing.
In general, the spindle includes three parts: (1) a mechanical spindle; (2) an asynchronous spindle; and (3) a synchronous spindle
The mechanical spindle is very simple; it connects to a belt on the machine.
The spindle is a set of components which includes the motor spindle and its accessories: electric spindle, high frequency conversion device, oil mist lubricator, cooling device, built-in encoder, tool changer and so on.
Key spindle integration technology
High-speed motor technology: The electric spindle is the product of the motor and spindle fused together. The rotor of the motor is the rotating part of the spindle. The spindle can be regarded as a high-speed motor, and the key technology is its high-speed, dynamic balance.
High-speed bearing technology: The electric spindle is usually made of composite ceramic bearings; it is wear-resistant and sometimes uses point magnetic bearings or hydrostatic bearings. The inner and outer rings do not touch. The product life is several times that of traditional bearings.
